EMI Teaching Assistant Training Program – Fall Semester 2026

To enhance students’ learning outcomes in EMI courses and strengthen the professional competencies of EMI Teaching Assistants (TAs), the Bilingual Education Resource Center at National Sun Yat-sen University (NSYSU) will offer an EMI Teaching Assistant Training Program in Fall 2026.

The program will feature instructors from the Foundation for Scholarly Exchange (FSE) and cover two topics: Classroom Language (including Pronunciation) and Intercultural Communication.

Training Sessions

To encourage face-to-face interaction and exchange among participants, all sessions will be conducted in person only.

  • Session 1: October 12, 2026 (Monday), 13:10–17:00
  • Session 2: October 14, 2026 (Wednesday), 13:10–17:00
  • Session 3: October 16, 2026 (Friday), 13:10–17:00

Venue: 11th Floor, Library and Information Building, National Sun Yat-sen University

Eligibility

Priority will be given to students who are currently serving as Teaching Assistants for EMI courses and have not yet obtained an EMI TA qualification.

Each session is limited to 70 participants.

Important Note

The training program is open to students from colleges and universities nationwide. However, whether the training can be recognized toward an EMI TA qualification/certification is subject to the regulations of each participant’s home institution.
