To enhance teachers’ understanding and classroom practice of Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL), National Kaohsiung Normal University (NKNU) has invited Professor Russell Cross from The University of Melbourne, Australia, to deliver a special lecture entitled “CLIL, Thinking, and Learning: Languages Beyond Communication.”
From a CLIL perspective, the lecture will explore how language can go beyond its communicative function to serve as an important medium for supporting students’ thinking, knowledge construction, and learning. Drawing on practical teaching experiences, Professor Cross will also share approaches to curriculum design, teaching materials and methods, as well as possibilities for interdisciplinary teaching.
