The English Teaching Resource Center at National Chengchi University (NCCU) will organize three EMI faculty development sessions. Faculty members are welcome to register and participate.

Session 1 | SMALL Moves, Stronger EMI

  • Date: November 16, 2026 (Monday)

  • Time: 12:00–1:30 p.m.

  • Venue: Fifth Conference Room, 7F, Administration Building, NCCU

  • Speaker: Assistant Professor 吳承翰, NCCU

  • Content: An introduction to four “SMALL” strategies—scaffolding, motivation, active learning, and language practice—with practical tools for immediate use in EMI classrooms.

Session 2 | From Text to Connection: Making EMI Reading Active

  • Date: November 30, 2026 (Monday)

  • Time: 12:00–2:00 p.m.

  • Venue: Fifth Conference Room, 7F, Administration Building, NCCU

  • Speaker: Assistant Professor 吳承翰, NCCU

  • Content: Participants will explore interactive strategies such as Think–Pair–Share, the Frayer Model, and Gallery Walk through authentic course materials to promote active EMI reading.

Session 3 | My EMI Teaching Journey

  • Date: December 7, 2026 (Monday)

  • Time: 12:00–1:30 p.m.

  • Venue: Fifth Conference Room, 7F, Administration Building, NCCU

  • Speaker: Professor 劉家伶, National Taiwan University of Arts

  • Content: A sharing session on using creative design and institutional support to enhance the visibility of EMI courses and student engagement.
